As a team we offer intensive and co-ordinated support at both the strategic
and the operational level. When working with clients we:
- prepare ourselves by reading in advance all available documentation
- listen to the views and concerns of the client, in order to develop
a deeper understanding of the specific context
- propose solutions, based on proven best practice and latest research
- negotiate a plan of action with the existing team
- identify key outcomes for which we will be accountable
- work alongside the team to deliver the plan
- evaluate the success of the strategies
Our approach seeks to avoid wasting the valuable time of senior managers
and establishes a working partnership to enable real and sustainable change.
The following are examples of the support we could offer:
Client A
…is an Academy that has a number of inexperienced middle managers.
They need individual coaching as well as collective professional development.
The school wants support with drawing up common systems and structures
for aspects such as improvement planning, lesson monitoring and departmental
meetings, followed by practical hands on support to enable middle managers
to deliver these.
Client B
…is a school that has been given a Notice to Improve. It needs
urgent support in drawing up and implementing the action plan.
Client C
…is considered to be a successful school. However, it recognises
that it cannot stand still and yet is wary of ‘change for the sake
of change’ as it could destabilise the school. It needs support
with longer term strategic planning in order for the school to move successfully
into its next phase.
Client D
…is a school facing a number of complex and potentially conflicting
issues. Most significantly, there has been a downturn in achievement at
KS3 and KS4. It has to address this as a matter of urgency alongside preparing
a BSF bid, developing its role within the Local Authority as an Extended
School and seeking re-designation as a Specialist Arts College. It needs
support in the form of a co-ordinated campaign to target results in Years
9 and 11and also practical support with the project management of these
other initiatives.

…is a Local Authority that needs support to deliver a development
programme for experienced senior leaders.
